ABOUT ASPE

Alliance Studying Paranormal Experiences (ASPE) is comprised  of curious and committed folks whose goal is to document, study, preserve and present paranormal experiences. By definition, "paranormal" denotes events or phenomena that are beyond the scope of normal scientific understanding.

Some at ASPE know a little about a lot of paranormal phenomena, some know a lot about a particular paranormal area, and some don't know anything at all about the paranormal. The one thing all at ASPE have in common is a desire to explore and document the phenomena and share what is learned.

For those with similar interests and open minds, ASPE meetings and events offer opportunities to discover and discuss experiences for which they can find no scientific or rational explanation. For those who have personally experienced the paranormal, ASPE offers an opportunity to document the details of their experience for sharing with others.

ASPE is interested in compiling information about experiences involving all facets of the paranormal, from UFOs, yetis, energy vortexes, native American spirits, alien abductions, poltergeists, crop circles, animal mutilations, reincarnation and ghosts to ETS, the Taos Hum and beyond.

Together with others whose intent is to learn and share, ASPE looks forward to exploring the unknown.

ABOUT ASPE AND ASPE DIRECTORS

IN MEMORIAM

Founding ASPE board member John Sanders died Friday, January 8, 2010.

After ending a 50-year legal/governmental career, Moreno Valley in northern New Mexico became a retirement home for Sanders. His interest in the paranormal was piqued when he began researching the Moreno Valley, from the first recorded events by Spanish Conquistadors 400 years ago, and he uncovered a long list of unexplained happenings.

Interest in these historical occurrences led to an association with Alliance Studying Paranormal Experiences, Incorporated, where Sanders served as a Founding Director and Board Secretary.

JANET SAILOR

ASPE founder and president Janet Sailor has been interested in the paranormal since childhood, when she learned to NOT ask questions or postulate about anything which might pit creative thinking or science against religion. She discovered Isaac Asimov, H.G. Wells and Clifford Simak when she was about eight years old, much to the dismay of her family and the nun who taught her Catechism class. In high school, Sailor learned that the "colors" she had always seen around living things were called auras and that nobody else she knew saw them. By the time she was in college, she had devoured everything she could find about and by Edgar Cayce, Nostradamas and other psychic "prophets" and moved into studies of eastern religions, reincarnation, extrasensory perception, astral travel, dream analysis, astrology and UFOs.

Although raising a family and running her businesses occupied most of her time during the next few decades, Sailor continued her research into the paranormal and looked forward to a time in her life when she could expand her involvement and contribute her knowledge to the public.

Now in her mid-sixties (a truly remarkable decade of life, she insists!), Sailor is a career marketing professional who owns and operates Access Media, an All Things Graphic design, publishing and printing company, and Access Images, which publishes her photographic and art images in limited and open edition archival art prints, as well as on greeting cards, calendars, t-shirts, mouse pads and other specialty items. Though not yet ready to ditch her "day job," she is fully committed to her own interest in paranormal research and to offering an opportunity for others to share her enthusiasm through ASPE.

DONNA HOLMAN

Donna Holman  admits to a life-long fascination with the paranormal, and believes it is “important to be aware of everything that’s possible.” She has been an active participant in ASPE events; and played an important and invaluable role organizing volunteers during the ASPE 2009 Paranormal Symposium. She looks forward to working with the ASPE board, guest speakers and practitioners, and the public.

Holman divides her time between Angel Fire, NM and Miami, FL. In Angel Fire, she manages the Cove Arts Center and The Grande Condominiums.
